ABOUT JOASH KURIAN

I’m Joash Kurian, a self-taught smartphone filmmaker and visual storyteller based in Dubai, UAE.

I believe filmmaking is not just about the equipment you use, but about the vision and creativity behind every frame. I shoot, edit and produce my projects using my smartphone, exploring photography, videography, short films and creative content.

My journey started in high school through short film competitions and creating content for YouTube and Instagram. Every project helps me learn, experiment and improve as a filmmaker.

My goal is to continue developing my craft and eventually bring my stories to the big screen.

TESTIMONIALS

“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Joash on short films, and what stands out most is his genuine passion for filmmaking and the art of capturing the right frame. His vision is something I always look forward to seeing. What I admire most is that he never lets the lack of professional equipment become a barrier. Whether it’s making vlogs, creative videos, photography, or short films, he keeps creating, experimenting, and finding new ways to tell a story through his phone. His dedication, creativity, and willingness to keep learning make him someone I would highly recommend working with. I’m excited to see where his vision takes him next.”
